| Training Paint Truck We have a dedicated truck for use in teaching paint operations. The "Peek 300" is a company designed and built production vehicle. Built by Peek Pavement Marking, LLC, it holds 300 gallons of paint in two tanks, a bead tank for glass bead application, and a waterflush tank. The Peek 300 has three paint and bead guns on the centerline carriage, and one of each on the edgeline carriage. The truck is also equipped with hand paint equipment at the rear on both sides for installing temporary stop bars, turn arrows, or other required pavement markings. The truck's design also allows it to be used for airport markings, although we also have a larger paint truck specially designed and equipped for airport marking operations. Peek is capable of designing and building specialty equipment to support special projects. |

Training Center Classroom The classroom facility is currently equipped to handle eight students at a time. All written test are computer based, allowing instant feed back for students and faculty. We also have a gun control box simulator. The system uses an actual 5-line gun control box, a digital speedometer, and a video view from the operator's seat while circling our driving traffic. The system allows a trainee to make pattern changes as the video plays. The panel located on the floor has lights and sound used to show when guns are active, and even the pattern in use. The simulator allows you to adjust both speed and marking patterns, to include using the skip cycle function, changing stripe length, and so forth. You can even teach manual retrace using the simulator. After use of the simulator, the trainee then puts the skills to use on the training paint truck on our driving track. Weak areas seen on the track can then be worked on with followup simulator sessions. |

| Training Track We have a driving track almost 1,800 feet in length we use to train paint truck centerline drivers and paint gun carriage operators. The track includes road dotting for centerline driving, 10-30 skips to practice retrace work, and an entire series of pattern codes to practice pattern changes. We are also able to use the track to teach backup (shadow truck) drivers how to protect the crew and paint during mobile operations, and safely employ attenuators (crash cushions). |
